Phoenix dedicates win to JC Cullar after father's passing

Phoenix Fuel Masters secured a victory against NorthPort Batang Pier, dedicating the win to teammate JC Cullar whose father passed away abroad.

Despite the tragic news of his father's death the day prior, Cullar chose to play and contribute to the team's 118-107 win.

This victory ended Phoenix's four-game losing streak and improved their record to 3-7 in the PBA Philippine Cup.

Phoenix head coach Jamike Jarin expressed his condolences to Cullar's family and commended the player for his dedication to the team, noting that Cullar wanted to play to honor his father.

Cullar, whose family resides in Rome, Italy, will be taking the earliest flight to join his family after the game.
