Phillips, Clarin named UAAP Players of the Week

Mike Phillips of De La Salle University and Camille Clarin of National University were named Collegiate Press Corps UAAP Players of the Week for November 3-10 due to their outstanding performances.

Phillips, a 6-foot-8 forward, led the Green Archers to a 2-0 week, averaging 15.5 points, 12.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 3.0 steals, and one block.

He particularly stepped up against Far Eastern University, scoring 17 points, 15 rebounds, two assists, five steals, and two blocks in a crucial 58-53 win, filling in for an off-night from MVP Kevin Quiambao.

Phillips expressed happiness with the role given to him by coach Topex Robinson, notably scoring 11 of his 17 points in the final quarter against FEU.
