Philippines reports lowest COVID-19 cases in 13 days

The Philippines reported 7,379 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, April 20, 2021, bringing the total tally to 953,106.

This marks the lowest daily case count in 13 days, with active cases now at 127,006.

Of the active cases, 96.9% are mild, 1.3% are asymptomatic, 0.6% are critical, and 0.7% are severe.

The total number of recoveries has risen to 809,959 after 21,664 additional patients recovered.

The death toll increased to 16,141 with 93 new fatalities recorded.

Data from the DOH shows that 67% of the country's intensive care unit beds and 46% of mechanical ventilators are utilized.

Eight laboratories failed to submit data on time, and 18 duplicates were removed from the total case count, with 20 recoveries reclassified as deaths.
