PH records lowest COVID-19 weekly cases in 36 weeks

The Philippines recorded 895 new COVID-19 cases from February 13 to 19, the lowest weekly tally in 36 weeks, with a 19 percent decrease in daily infections compared to the previous week.

Of the new cases, three were severe and critical.

During the same period, 74 deaths were reported, with four occurring from February 6 to 19.

As of February 19, 311 of 2,086 intensive care unit (ICU) beds and 3,202 of 17,045 non-ICU beds were occupied.

There were 406 severe and critical admissions.

The Philippines has logged over 4 million COVID-19 infections and approximately 66,000 deaths since the pandemic began.

More than 73.8 million Filipinos are fully vaccinated, with over 21.5 million having received their first booster shots and 3.9 million their second.
