Despite the assured medals, the Association of Boxing Alliances of the Philippines (ABAP) secretary general Marcus Manalo stated that the team's ultimate goal is to win gold medals.
Manalo emphasized that the boxers' objective is to reach higher on the podium beyond just securing a bronze medal based on the draw.
