PhilHealth hikes open-heart surgery coverage significantly

A new Z Benefits Package for Heart Valve Repair and Replacement has been launched, offering coverage from PHP642,000 to PHP810,000.

Additionally, PhilHealth now provides cardiac rehabilitation packages worth PHP15,000 for adults and PHP6,500 for children.

These expanded benefits aim to bring health services closer to all Filipinos and enhance their lives, according to PhilHealth president and chief executive officer Dr. Edwin Mercado.

Qualified PhilHealth members and dependents can avail of these benefits without co-payments if admitted to PhilHealth-contracted facilities.
