PH to host SEA Plus Youth Games in late 2027, Asian Beach Games in early 2028

The Philippines is aiming to host two major international sporting events in late 2027 and early 2028: the Southeast Asian Plus Youth Games (SEA Plus YG) and the Asian Beach Games (ABG).

The Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) president, Abraham "Bambol" Tolentino, confirmed that the country will host the SEA Plus YG in late 2027.

Tolentino also mentioned that the ABG is being considered for early 2028, two years after the event's third edition in Sanya, China.

These hosting opportunities align with the Philippine Sports Commission's intensified sports tourism campaign.

The POC will submit letters of intent to the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) before its General Assembly in Tashkent, followed by proposals to the PSC for official hosting.
