The Philippines received 3,530,400 doses of Sinovac's CoronaVac vaccine on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, completing the government's purchase order of 52 million doses from the manufacturer.

This latest delivery brings the country's total vaccine supply to 128,444,400 doses.

Approximately 42% of the total supply, amounting to 54,030,400 doses, are Sinovac-CoronaVac vaccines, including 52,030,400 procured doses and 2 million donated doses.

The arrival of these vaccines at Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 2 was witnessed by Chinese Ambassador to the Philippines Huang Xilian and Vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr.

Galvez stated that this marks a successful completion of the contract with Sinovac Biotech, with a total of 33 shipments delivered to fulfill the order and donations.

He also noted that the substantial Sinovac supply brings the Philippines closer to achieving population protection by the end of the year and a daily vaccination rate of 1.5 million doses.
