PH plans 3-day national vax drive to speed up inoculation

The Philippines is planning a three-day national vaccination drive during the last week of November to accelerate inoculation efforts.

The initiative aims to administer at least five million vaccine doses, with the goal of inoculating 70% of the target population or 54 million Filipinos with at least one dose by the end of November.

As of November 4, a total of 62,474,334 jabs had been administered nationwide, fully vaccinating 28,718,856 individuals, which represents 37.23% of the target population.

Vaccine czar Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr. mentioned that the same number of individuals need to be fully vaccinated by year-end.

The drive is intended to help towns and provinces become accustomed to large-scale vaccination efforts, similar to an election day.
