PH Navy sees drop in PLA Navy coercive actions during joint exercises

The Philippine Navy observed a significant decrease in coercive actions by the People's Liberation Army Navy (PLA Navy) during joint maritime exercises with allied and partner nations in the West Philippine Sea.

Navy spokesperson Rear Admiral Roy Vincent Trinidad stated that the presence of other nations deters illegal and coercive actions by the PLA Navy.

He also indicated that more multilateral and bilateral maritime activities are anticipated in the future.

During a recent maritime cooperative activity with the French Navy, no Chinese vessels were monitored in close proximity, remaining over 120 nautical miles away.

In response to Trinidad's statement, the Chinese Embassy in Manila dismissed it as "Mr. Q's Syndrome of Mental Victory," implying a self-deceptive sense of being right and victorious.
