PH increases establishment capacity for vaccinated seniors

The Philippine government is increasing the operational capacity of establishments in areas under Alert Level 4 and below, with additional capacity granted if a high percentage of senior citizens and immunocompromised individuals are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

This new policy, outlined in IATF Resolution 161-A, allows a 20% increase in operational capacity for establishments if at least 70% of seniors and immunocompromised individuals in the locality are fully vaccinated.

Establishments that have obtained Safety Seal Certificates can enjoy an additional 10% operational capacity on top of the previously mentioned increases.

Under Alert Level 2, establishments can operate at 50% indoor capacity for vaccinated adults and unvaccinated minors, and 70% outdoor capacity.

Alert Level 3 allows for 30% indoor capacity for vaccinated individuals and 50% outdoor capacity if employees are fully vaccinated, though certain activities like in-person classes and casinos remain prohibited.
