PH, Australia close Exercise ALON 2025 with stronger ties, shared resolve for peace
The Philippines and Australia have successfully concluded their two-week "ALON" 2025 joint military exercises, enhancing interoperability and partnership between their armed forces.
The "ALON" 2025 drills, held from August 15 to 29 in various locations including Palawan, Nueva Ecija, and the West Philippine Sea, involved key activities such as amphibious operations, naval and air interoperability drills, maritime security operations, and combined live-fire exercises.
A total of 3,600 personnel from the AFP, ADF, United States Marine Corps, and the Royal Canadian Navy participated in the exercise.
Beyond combat training, the drills also included humanitarian and disaster response activities, community relations projects, and cultural exchanges.
Exercise ALON 2025 aims to enhance interoperability, joint force projection capabilities, and multi-domain operations between the two countries.
