PH administers 12.7M vaccine doses; 1.16M health workers fully vaccinated

As of July 8, the Philippines has administered approximately 12.7 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines.

Of the total, 9.4 million doses were first doses and 3.2 million were second doses.

The fully vaccinated population includes over 1.16 million health workers, 861,560 seniors, about one million seriously ill individuals, and 103,990 essential workers.

The Philippines received over a million AstraZeneca doses donated by the Japanese government on Thursday night.

Additional vaccine deliveries expected this week include two million AstraZeneca doses from a global initiative and 170,000 doses of Sputnik V.

The government expects to administer the first vaccine dose to 70 million Filipinos by November and aims to achieve herd immunity by November 27.
