Petro Gazz bags 4th PVL title, Van Sickle family achieves championship milestone

Petro Gazz secured their fourth overall Philippine Volleyball League (PVL) title and third in the Reinforced Conference, with the coaching guidance of Gary and Lisa Van Sickle.

This victory marked the first time the Van Sickle family won a PVL championship together at the professional level.

Head coach Gary Van Sickle noted the full-circle moment, recalling a similar championship photo with his daughter Brooke when she was 16.

Ace player Brooke Van Sickle was instrumental in the team's offense, contributing crucial scoring throughout the tournament.

Despite initial doubts about hiring Brooke's parents, the Van Sickle family's steadiness helped Petro Gazz overcome a rocky start.

The team went on a five-game winning streak, defeating PLDT, dethroning Creamline, and outlasting Akari to reach the finals after three years.

Brooke Van Sickle also achieved a personal milestone by winning her third MVP award.
