Perpetual Help ready to defend NCAA Season 101 juniors basketball title

The University of Perpetual Help System Dalta Junior Altas are ready to defend their championship title in the upcoming National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Season 101 juniors basketball tournament, which opens on October 1 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Head coach Joph Cleofas emphasized the team's rigorous training and preparation for their opening game against San Sebastian College on October 3 at the Filoil EcoOil Centre in San Juan.

Cleofas expressed confidence in his players' dedication, stating that while a championship win isn't guaranteed, the team will work tirelessly to retain their title.

He acknowledged that defending their crown will not be easy, especially with other teams strengthening their rosters with quality players.

A total of seven players from their championship team will be returning, including Louie Rosales, Kurt Velasquez, Lance Nitura, Jim Corpuz, Keanne Zanoria, Ezekiel Zamoras, Hanz Candido, and Kurt Patalinghug.

These returning players are complemented by new recruits who have been training intensely for the past five months in a bid to lead the school to its first back-to-back title.
