Peninsula Manila partners with MPower for renewable energy transition

The Peninsula Manila, a luxury hotel in Makati, has partnered with Meralco's MPower to transition to renewable energy, marking a significant step in its sustainability efforts.

This collaboration expands an existing 12-year relationship between the hotel and MPower, a power retailer under the Pangilinan-led Meralco.

The Peninsula Manila is now the second property in Southeast Asia and the fourth globally within its hotel group to adopt clean power.

Hotel director Kevin Tsang highlighted that this initiative aims to reduce the hotel's carbon footprint and contribute to the global fight against climate change.

The hotel's 'Sustainable Luxury Vision 2030' strategy focuses on reducing the consumption of resources like energy and water to positively impact the environment and communities.
