PDEA-BARMM nabs suspected big-time drug dealer in Marawi, seizes P3.4M shabu

Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PDEA-BARMM) operatives arrested a 35-year-old drug suspect in Marawi City.

The suspect, who resides in Barangay Kanyugan Papandayan, is believed to be a significant dealer operating within Marawi City and other municipalities in Lanao del Sur.

During the operation in Barangay Matampay, approximately PHP3.4 million worth of shabu, amounting to 500 grams, was seized.

Authorities also confiscated buy-bust money, identification cards, and a Honda motorcycle.

PDEA Regional Director Gil Cesario P. Castro stated that the operation was conducted with assistance from Lanao del Sur Governor Mamintal Adiong, Jr., Bangsamoro police regional director Brig. Gen. Romeo Juan Macapaz, and Muslim religious leaders in Marawi City.

He also noted the cooperation of the LGU Marawi City and the Marawi City Police Office.
