PCG COVID-19 cases drop to 70

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has seen its active COVID-19 cases decrease to 70 following 29 recoveries between September 29 and October 2.

The PCG has reported a total of 1,560 recoveries and no deaths among its 1,630 infected personnel.

As of Friday, the PCG also noted 22 reinfection cases, with five active and 17 recovered.

The PCG's exclusive quarantine facility, capable of housing 224 infected personnel, is complete and set for inauguration on Saturday, in time for the PCG's 119th founding anniversary.

This new facility is expected to enhance the management of active COVID-19 cases within the organization, promoting faster recovery and rehabilitation.

The completion of the quarantine facility was previously delayed due to some workers testing positive for COVID-19.
