PCCI urges PBBM to certify 4 anti-corruption bills as urgent

The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) is urging President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to certify as urgent four priority governance reform bills aimed at curbing corruption, strengthening institutions, and boosting investor confidence.

These bills, which align with long-standing private-sector calls for transparency and a more predictable regulatory environment, include the Anti-Political Dynasty Bill, the Partylist System Reform Act, the Citizens Access and Disclosure of Expenditures for National Accountability (CADENA) Act, and the Independent People's Commission Act (IPCA).

The PCCI has expressed its strongest support for the CADENA Act, emphasizing that full public disclosure of government spending reduces corruption risks, ensures fair competition, and promotes efficient use of taxpayer resources.

PCCI President Consul Enunina Mangio believes that the robust implementation of the CADENA Act could become one of the most impactful anti-corruption and pro-investment measures in recent years.
