PRA proposes 30-day toll holiday for CAVITEX

Motorists may soon experience 30 days of toll-free travel on the Manila-Cavite Toll Expressway (CAVITEX) following a proposal from the Philippine Reclamation Authority (PRA).

President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. announced the potential toll holiday during the inauguration of the CAVITEX C5 Link Sucat Interchange and the groundbreaking of the CAVITEX C5 Link Segment 3B.

The PRA's proposal, which was welcomed by the President, aims to suspend toll fee collection for all vehicle types traversing CAVITEX in Taguig, Parañaque, Las Piñas, Bacoor, and Kawit for 30 days.

President Marcos directed the Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) to ensure the swift implementation of the PRA's initiative.

This move is intended to introduce the new roads and expressways in the area and help alleviate the financial burden on motorists due to increasing fuel prices.
