PBBM vows integrity in public service amid corruption allegations

President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. asserted on Friday that the Philippine government remains committed to serving the public with integrity amidst the nation's challenges.

Speaking in San Fernando City while distributing land titles and financial aid to farm workers, Marcos pledged to rectify processes hindering the country's progress.

His statement comes in the wake of public outcry over alleged corruption and irregularities in infrastructure projects, particularly flood control programs.

To address these concerns, President Marcos established the Independent Commission for Infrastructure through Executive Order No. 94 to thoroughly investigate these projects.

While some lawmakers have been implicated in the anomalies, many have denied the accusations.

The President highlighted that the distribution of assistance is part of the administration's broader strategy to alleviate poverty, enhance land ownership, and stimulate the national economy.
