PBBM strengthens PH, Cambodia ties for economic growth and regional stability

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. affirmed the Philippines' dedication to enhancing its collaboration with Cambodia during his three-day State Visit to Phnom Penh.

Marcos and Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet issued a Joint Leaders' Statement, focusing on strengthening bilateral ties and exploring avenues for mutual benefit.

The President emphasized that economic resilience and growth for both nations are contingent on expanding cooperation in key sectors like trade, agriculture, renewable energy, and digital technologies.

He further stated that such partnerships would generate new economic opportunities and bolster regional stability, enabling both countries to effectively address external challenges.

Marcos also called for stronger people-to-people ties and more frequent travel and tourism engagements between the Philippines and Cambodia, hoping it would foster closer connections and enhanced cooperation.

He touted the valuable contributions of over 7,000 Filipinos residing and working in Cambodia, particularly in health, education, and development, serving as a vital bridge between the two countries.
