These new players are projected to invest between $1 billion and $1.5 billion in services such as mobile, fiber, and satellite.

The IRR will become effective 15 days after its publication.

Currently, the Philippines has approximately 30,000 cell sites, which is 30 percent of the government's target of 100,000.
