PBBM reviews PrimeWater probe, consumer complaints

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is reviewing two balikbayan boxes of reports and evidence from the Local Water Utilities Administration (LWUA) concerning complaints against PrimeWater.

The LWUA has completed its investigation into PrimeWater, which was prompted by numerous consumer complaints received through the Presidential hotline.

Presidential Communications Office Undersecretary Claire Castro stated the Palace will promptly study the findings for the benefit of PrimeWater consumers.

The Office of the President is preparing to take legal action based on the findings, ensuring it is in accordance with the law and serves the public.

This issue affects approximately 16 million consumers nationwide.

While the government cannot unilaterally rescind joint venture deals, the investigation will explore how water districts can terminate their agreements with PrimeWater.
