President Marcos relaunches electric Love Buses offering free rides in Metro Manila

President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. relaunched the iconic "Love Bus" in Valenzuela City, Metro Manila, as part of the "Handog ng Pangulo" service caravan.

The modernized fleet consists of 20 fully electric buses, which are powered by clean energy and feature modern amenities like CCTV, TV screens, and air-conditioning.

The Love Buses are also equipped with PWD access ramps and can accommodate up to 4 wheelchairs, reflecting inclusive mobility.

For commuters, free rides are available for everyone throughout September.

Beginning October, free rides will be available during peak hours, from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., with continued provisions for persons with disabilities and senior citizens at all times.

Commuters are required to download the "Love Bus" app to board and view trip schedules.

President Marcos stated that the initiative is a step toward a safer, greener, and more inclusive public transport system.

The revival of this 1970s-era transit icon aims to reduce transportation fares, traffic congestion, and pollution in Metro Manila.
