PBBM pledges additional P15M for Baseco hospital

President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. pledged an additional P15 million in funding for the President Corazon Aquino General Hospital in Baseco, Manila, with the support coming from the Office of the President.

The Baseco Hospital, which opened on September 5, serves residents of the impoverished Baseco Compound and handles an average of 200 to 220 patients daily, having served around 7,300 as of November 24.

The hospital is currently an outpatient department preparing to become a full Level 1 hospital and is a PhilHealth-accredited YAKAP clinic offering free consultations and diagnostic tests.

During his visit, Marcos also distributed food essentials to 2,500 beneficiaries of the DSWD's 'Ayuda para sa Kapos ang Kita' Program.

He also stressed the importance of strengthening collaboration between local and national governments to improve the country's healthcare system and public services.
