PBBM distributes P80M aid to typhoon-hit Cagayan towns

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. distributed over P80 million in financial aid to eight municipalities in Cagayan affected by Typhoon Yinxing, locally known as Marce.

Each municipality received P10 million in assistance from the Office of the President funds.

The President, alongside DSWD Secretary Rexlon T. Gatchalian, also handed out assistance packages, including 1,500 food packs from the DSWD.

The DA provided P866.33 million worth of aid to farmers, including hybrid rice seeds, fertilizer discounts, and poultry assistance to help them restart agricultural activities.

The Cagayan provincial government also distributed 300 food packs.

Typhoon Yinxing made two landfalls in Cagayan Province, bringing strong winds and heavy rain, and causing significant damage before exiting the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
