Marcos eyes patient transport vehicles for all PH cities by yearend

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. aims to equip all cities and towns nationwide with at least one patient transport vehicle (PTV) before the yearend, prioritizing low-income municipalities.

Speaking during the distribution of PTVs in Dipolog, Zamboanga del Norte, Marcos emphasized that small municipalities would receive priority over large cities.

The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) has distributed 1,067 PTVs since June 2022.

The distributed PTVs are suited for narrow streets and unpaved roads, especially in remote areas, and are easier to maintain.

Each PTV is equipped with a stretcher, oxygen tank, blood pressure monitoring device, and other basic medical tools for safe and timely patient transport.
