PBA teams scout draftees ahead of Season 50

PBA teams are intensifying their preparations for the upcoming golden season by closely evaluating potential draftees at the Rookie Draft Combine.

The Draft Combine, scheduled for September 4 and 5 at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City, will allow the 12 teams to thoroughly assess applicants and complete their scouting reports before the September 7 selection.

Prominent prospects in this year's draft include Fil-foreign guards Dalph Panopio and Jason Brickman, former NCAA MVP Will Gozum, LJay Gonzales, Chris Koon, Christian Manaytay, and Mark Sangco.

Nearly 40 players have applied for the draft thus far, with more expected before the submission deadline.

This two-day event, designed to test the fitness and abilities of the aspiring players, marks the PBA's inaugural official activity for Season 50.

Meanwhile, some teams have already begun making roster moves, such as Converge extending contracts for Schonny Winston, Bryan Santos, and Jeo Ambohot, and NLEX re-signing Richie Rodger and Robbie Herndon.
