Pasig VP warns barangay officials on financial transparency

Pasig City Vice Mayor Robert "Dodot" Jaworski Jr. has warned barangay officials that failure to make their financial documents public will not be tolerated, emphasizing the need for transparency and accountability at all government levels.

Jaworski stated that reforms in the local government must extend to the barangay level, as these officials are the frontliners of public service.

He asserted that barangay officials who do not believe in the city's reforms and consider themselves exempt are not fit to be leaders in Pasig.

The Vice Mayor urged Pasigueños to elect better public servants and reject those who misuse public funds, reminding officials that the money belongs to the people.

Jaworski issued a strong warning that barangay officials caught misusing funds will face jail time, and the city council is prepared to act on complaints.
