Pasig congressional bet Sia challenges Mayor Sotto to debate over unfulfilled promises

Pasig City congressional candidate Atty. Christian "Ian" Sia has accused reelectionist Mayor Vico Sotto of making empty promises and failing to deliver on major infrastructure projects.

Sia challenged Sotto to a debate, asserting that despite the end of the pandemic, no significant projects like schools, housing, or public hospitals have been completed under the current administration.

He criticized Sotto's slogan "Umaagos ang Pag-asa" (Hope is Flowing), retorting "Paasa" (Deceiver) and accused the mayor of making false claims about his achievements.

Furthermore, Sia alleged that Mayor Sotto unfairly targeted a construction company linked to rival candidate Sarah Discaya for a building code violation, while ignoring thousands of other buildings with similar issues.

Sia claimed that approximately 30,000 buildings in Pasig lack occupancy permits, questioning why only one company, linked to Discaya, was investigated.

He accused Sotto's administration of hypocrisy, stating that they criticize others for being boastful while making unsubstantiated claims themselves.
