Pasay Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano gets AstraZeneca vaccine

Pasay Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano received her first dose of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine at T. Paez Elementary School.

She thanked President Duterte for allowing local chief executives in high-risk areas to get inoculated, which she believes will restore public confidence in vaccines.

Rubiano had previously tested positive for COVID-19 on February 9.

The vaccination for senior citizens in Pasay City began the previous week using AstraZeneca vaccines.

Metro Manila Council Chairman and Parañaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez stated that all 17 NCR mayors have agreed to be vaccinated.

Olivarez plans to receive his first COVID-19 jab this week after senior citizens in his city are finished.

Manila Mayor Isko Moreno received his first dose of the Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine on April 4.

Mayors, governors, and barangay captains have been moved to the A4 priority category for vaccination, as approved by the IATF-MEID.
