Paris Olympians Hoffman, Cabang to lead PH Athletics Championships

Paris Olympics veterans Lauren Hoffman and John Cabang are set to headline the 2025 ICTSI Philippine Athletics Championships from May 1 to 4 at New Clark City.

The annual event will also feature Kristina Knott, the Filipino-American sprinter holding national records in the women's 100-meter and 200-meter runs.

National team coach Geoffrey Chua stated that the Olympians are thrilled to compete against both Filipino athletes and approximately 60 international participants.

Delegations from Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, India, and Papua New Guinea will compete, contributing to the total of around 800 participants.

The championships will also serve as tryouts for the national squad participating in the 33rd Southeast Asian Games in Thailand.

Philippine Athletics deputy coach Jeoffrey Chua also expressed that the athletes are highly prepared and excited to showcase their talents to a Filipino audience, anticipating an even larger crowd than last year.
