Pangasinan vaccinates minors with comorbidities

Seventy minors aged 12 to 17 with comorbidities in Pangasinan received their COVID-19 vaccines at the Conrado F. Estrella Regional Medical and Trauma Center.

The vaccination for the pediatric population in Pangasinan will resume on November 4, pending vaccine supply from the regional office.

The inoculation rollout in Pangasinan is open to residents of the sixth district and other areas in the province, as well as neighboring towns of Tarlac and Nueva Ecija.

The hospital aims to inoculate 800 to 1,000 children daily if vaccine supply permits.

The DOH CHD Ilocos Region is expected to receive 2 to 4 million doses of vaccine this fourth quarter.

Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are authorized for emergency use in the 12 to 17 age group to protect against severe symptoms and death.
