Pangasinan facilitates entry of 23 LSIs after 7 days at border

The provincial government of Pangasinan facilitated the entry of 23 locally stranded individuals (LSIs) who were stranded at the Rosales-Tarlac border.

These LSIs were from various parts of Metro Manila and had been prevented from entering Pangasinan for failing to present required documents such as barangay certifications, medical certificates, and travel authority.

One LSI shared that they were denied entry after renting a vehicle from Quezon City back to Pangasinan due to a lack of travel authority from the PNP.

After at least seven days at the border, the stranded individuals underwent RT-PCR tests conducted by the Provincial Health Office.

This group represents the fifth batch of LSIs assisted by the provincial government through its Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (PDRRMO).

The LSIs were subsequently picked up by their respective local government units (LGUs) and taken to quarantine facilities for further monitoring.

The stranded individuals were residents of various towns in Pangasinan, including Anda, Asingan, Bayambang, Bolinao, Burgos, Mangaldan, Natividad, San Manuel, San Quintin, Sta. Barbara, Umingan, and Villasis.
