Pampanga confirms 3 Covid-19 cases, 1 death

Pampanga province has confirmed three cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), with one fatality.

The first confirmed case is a 33-year-old Grab driver from Porac town who serviced the Clark Freeport and Pampanga routes and is currently receiving treatment in a Metro Manila hospital.

The second case involved a patient who worshipped in a prayer room in San Juan, Metro Manila, and was exposed to a confirmed Covid-19 case, and is now confined at the Jose B. Lingad Memorial Regional Hospital.

The third patient was admitted to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Medical Center (OLMCMC) on March 9 and died on March 11, with test results confirmed on the night of March 13.

Provincial health authorities are monitoring close contacts of these patients and actively tracing others who may have come into contact with them.

In response to the confirmed cases, all classes in Pampanga have been suspended starting March 16.
