Palace thanks frontliners, private sector for COVID-19 aid

Malacañang expressed gratitude to frontliners and private entities for their contributions amid the enhanced community quarantine due to COVID-19.

Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo recognized the invaluable sacrifices of healthcare providers, law enforcement agents, and other frontliners.

The Office of the President affirmed its continued support for these heroic individuals until the pandemic is defeated.

Malacañang also thanked companies for ensuring their employees receive salaries and benefits during the quarantine period without using leave credits.

Several large business groups, including Aboitiz, Ayala, JG Summit, and SM, were specifically mentioned for their support.

The Palace also commended anonymous companies for aiding daily wage earners and regular employees.

Significant donations were highlighted, such as Metrobank and GT Capital's pledge of P200 million for test kits and Andrew Tan's group's donation of ethyl alcohol to the DOH.

Companies like Belo Medical Group and Udenna Corp. also contributed through donations of PPE and diagnostic kits.

Malacañang acknowledged transportation companies that offered free bus services for health workers and other essential personnel.

Panelo urged Filipinos to stay home and follow government protocols, emphasizing unity and the Filipino spirit in overcoming the crisis.
