Palace orders agencies to implement 2024 National Disaster Response Plan

Malacañang has directed government agencies to implement the 2024 National Disaster Response Plan (NDRP) to enhance disaster risk reduction strategies.

The NDRP aims to save lives, provide immediate aid, and lessen the impact of calamities.

Executive Secretary Lucas P. Bersamin signed Memorandum Circular No. 100 on September 23, tasking the NDRRMC, led by the Office of Civil Defense (OCD), with spearheading the plan's implementation.

The OCD will coordinate with the Presidential Communications Office to disseminate the plan to all concerned government entities.

All national government agencies, GOCCs, and LGUs are mandated or encouraged to support and cooperate with the NDRP's rollout.

This directive ensures coordinated efforts across various government bodies and local government units for disaster preparedness and response.
