Bersamin calls Duterte's claims a hallucination

Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin dismissed former President Rodrigo Duterte's claim that Malacañang is using former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV to testify against Duterte, calling the allegation a "hallucination."

Duterte accused Trillanes of being a "Malacañang-sponsored" individual who would not act without financial backing.

Bersamin stated it is difficult to respond to such claims and reiterated that Duterte's allegations are a "hallucination."

Duterte expressed confusion regarding Malacañang's supposed motives, asserting he had not attacked President Marcos Jr., but acknowledged Trillanes appeared to be working for the current president.

During a House quad-committee hearing, Trillanes cited supposed bank accounts and revived claims that the Duterte family benefited from drug money.

The hearing was briefly suspended when an enraged Duterte nearly threw his microphone at Trillanes.
