Palace declares 2026 holidays

Malacañang has released the official list of regular and special non-working holidays for 2026.

President Ferdinand R. Marcos signed Proclamation 1006 on September 3, 2025, declaring the holiday list for next year.

Regular holidays in 2026 include New Year's Day on January 1, Maundy Thursday on April 2, Good Friday on April 3, Araw ng Kagitingan on April 9, Labor Day on May 1, Independence Day on June 12, National Heroes Day on August 31, Bonifacio Day on November 30, Christmas Day on December 25, and Rizal Day on December 30.

Special non-working days are Ninoy Aquino Day on August 21, All Saints' Day on November 1, Feast of the Immaculate Conception of Mary on December 8, and Last Day of the Year on December 31.

Additional special non-working days include Chinese New Year on February 17, Black Saturday on April 4, All Souls' Day on November 2, and Christmas Eve on December 24.

February 25, 2026, is designated as a special working day to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution.
