PAL Express flight stalls on runway, causes flight disruptions

A PAL Express flight from Manila experienced a technical issue upon landing at Busuanga Airport in Coron, Palawan, causing it to stall on the runway.

As a result, nine flights were canceled, one was diverted, and another was delayed, affecting services from CebGo and PAL Express.

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) issued a Notice to Airmen, temporarily suspending operations until 2 p.m. while the issue was being resolved.

CAAP Director General retired Lt. Gen. Raul Del Rosario instructed airport management to expedite the clearing process and coordinate with airlines for passenger assistance and flight adjustments.

PAL stated that cancelled flights included PR 2962 Busuanga (Coron)-Manila and PR 2963/2964 Manila-Busuanga (Coron)-Manila.

Passengers with cancelled flights were offered options to rebook, convert to travel credits, or request a refund.

While commercial flights were affected, the runway remained open for helicopter operations.
