Philippine Airlines (PAL) announced that several international destinations have been reclassified as "green list" areas, indicating a low risk of COVID-19 transmission.
This updated classification, effective from November 16 to November 30, will lead to relaxed quarantine measures for passengers arriving from these countries.
The "green list" destinations now include Indonesia (Jakarta); Hong Kong SAR, China (Hong Kong); Mainland China; Japan (Tokyo Haneda, Tokyo Narita, Fukuoka, Osaka Kansai, Nagoya); Saudi Arabia (Dammam, Riyadh); Taiwan (Taipei) and the United Arab Emirates (Dubai).
For fully vaccinated Filipino travelers arriving from these green-listed areas, a negative RT-PCR test taken within 72 hours before departure is sufficient.
They will no longer be required to undergo a facility-based quarantine but are highly encouraged to self-monitor for any symptoms until the 14th day after arrival.
Alternatively, they can opt for an RT-PCR test upon arrival and undergo facility-based quarantine until a negative result is released.
Fully vaccinated foreign nationals from Green List areas must also present a negative RT-PCR test result within 72 hours prior to departure and will be exempt from facility-based quarantine, with self-monitoring encouraged.
