PAL allows small dogs in-cabin on select domestic flights

Philippine Airlines (PAL) has launched its "FurPAL" service, allowing small dogs to travel with their owners in-cabin on select domestic flights to Boracay, Bohol, and Siargao, starting November 12, 2025.

The service is available for dogs weighing up to 10 kg, at least eight weeks old, and fully weaned, with a limit of three small dogs per flight.

Pets must be transported in soft-sided, leak-proof carriers measuring no more than 17" x 11" x 9.5", which will be stored under the passenger's seat.

Owners must present veterinary health certificates, vaccination records, and a shipping permit from the Bureau of Animal Industry.

PAL prohibits sedating pets for travel and requires passengers to book the FurPAL flight through the PAL website.

PAL vice president for marketing Alvin Miranda stated that the airline may expand the service to other pet types depending on aviation security and safety regulations.
