Philippines gets fourth batch of Black Hawk choppers
The Philippine Air Force (PAF) officially received its fifth batch of five new S-70i Black Hawk helicopters on Friday, November 14, 2025.
These helicopters are part of a larger order of 32 units procured from Poland's PZL Mielec through the AFP Modernization Program.
The aircraft arrived in the country on October 20 and underwent technical inspection from October 22 to 26.
The 205th Tactical Helicopter Wing will operate these new aircraft, which are renowned for their versatility, speed, and reliability.
The S-70i Black Hawks will enhance the PAF's capabilities in humanitarian assistance and disaster response, troop transport, and tactical support.

Department of Budget and Management Secretary Amenah Pangandaman, PAF Commanding General Lt. Gen. Arthur Cordura, and Defense Undersecretary Salvador Mison Jr. attended the turnover ceremony.
