P360,000 worth of suspected marijuana seized in South Cotabato

Authorities in South Cotabato seized suspected marijuana valued at P360,000 found inside a parcel.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-12, with assistance from a drug detection dog, intercepted the package at a warehouse in Barangay Glamang, Polomolok.

The confiscated parcel contained six bricks of suspected marijuana leaves, weighing approximately three kilograms.

The operation was initiated based on intelligence reports and confidential informants indicating that the parcel, sent from Quiapo, Manila, and addressed to a resident in General Santos City, contained marijuana.

PDEA-12 is working to identify both the sender and the intended recipient, who is now the subject of an extensive manhunt by PDEA-12 agents and policemen from Police Regional Office-12.

The operation was also assisted by the Polomolok Municipal Police Station, PRO-12 units, and the Philippine Coast Guard Intelligence Group-Southern Mindanao.
