P1.36M shabu seized in Cebu drug bust

Three alleged drug personalities, including a high-value target, were arrested, and approximately P1.36 million worth of suspected shabu was seized during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Garing, Consolacion, Cebu.

The operation was conducted by the Police Regional Office 7 (PRO7) as part of its intensified anti-drug campaign in Central Visayas.

The arrested high-value target is a 36-year-old mechanic, and his two alleged associates are a 45-year-old and a 29-year-old.

Police recovered about 200 grams of suspected shabu from the arrested individuals, and the items were turned over to the Cebu Provincial Forensic Unit for examination.

The suspects are currently detained at the Consolacion Municipal Police Station, pending charges for violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.

PRO7 regional director PBGen Redrico Maranan reiterated the police force's relentless campaign against illegal drugs and commitment to a drug-free Central Visayas.
