OVP relief drive for Odette victims raises over P75M

The Office of Vice President (OVP) Leni Robredo announced that their relief drive for Typhoon Odette victims has garnered over P75 million in combined cash and in-kind donations.

The relief operations center in Quezon City successfully raised P42.35 million worth of relief goods and P33.58 million in cash donations.

Approximately 5,000 volunteers worked continuously to repack essential items such as rice, noodles, biscuits, canned goods, hygiene kits, and face masks.

The cash donations were facilitated through the Tanging Yaman Foundation, which will continue to accept and repack goods until the end of January.

The Robredo People's Council (RPC), an organization of campaign volunteers for Robredo's presidential bid, spearheaded the relief hub operations.

Volunteers involved in the relief efforts described the operations as a "well-oiled machine" and praised the efficiency of the OVP's response.
