OVP’s Swab Cabs conduct free COVID-19 testing in Malabon
The Office of the Vice President (OVP), in partnership with private entities, launched "Swab Cab," a free mobile COVID-19 antigen testing project in Malabon City.
Three Swab Cab buses were deployed to barangays Longos, Potrero, Tonsuya, Tañong, and Flores.
As of 1 p.m. on March 30, 419 residents were swabbed, with 24 testing positive for COVID-19.
The project includes 3,040 care kits with face shields and face masks, and 3,000 rapid antigen test kits.
Vice President Leni Robredo stated the initiative aims to supplement the city's test, trace, and isolate program by identifying and isolating cases quickly.
Barangay Health Emergency Response Teams (BHERTs) are conducting aggressive contact tracing for those who tested positive.
Malabon City is scheduled to conduct confirmatory RT-PCR tests for positive cases, who will remain isolated until results are out and protocols are completed.
