Over 207,000 violators recorded in NCR under Alert Level 4

The Philippine National Police (PNP) reported that over 207,000 individuals have violated protocols since the National Capital Region (NCR) was placed under Alert Level 4.

The daily average number of violators recorded from September 16 to October 4 was 10,940.

Approximately 53% of violators received warnings, 41% were fined, and 6% faced other sanctions.

Of the total violators, 47,236 were cited for violating minimum public health standards, while 58,282 were caught violating curfew hours.

An additional 2,341 individuals who were not authorized persons outside residence (APORs) were also caught outdoors.

The NCR is currently under Alert Level 4, which is designated for areas with high or increasing COVID-19 infections and high utilization rates of hospital beds.

Under Alert Level 4, outdoor dining is permitted at 30% capacity for all individuals.
