OPAPRU, DFA tap int'l aid for BARMM

The Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation, and Unity (OPAPRU) is collaborating with the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) to facilitate increased international aid for the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).

OPAPRU Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr. stated that the DFA is proactively ensuring foreign aid aligns with the needs of the Moro people and communities.

Galvez highlighted that international partners have been crucial in providing resources, expertise, and support for the Bangsamoro peace process.

He urged stakeholders to prioritize the welfare of BARMM residents, emphasizing the importance of international cooperation in addressing regional issues.

Galvez stressed that the focus should be on ensuring the people of Bangsamoro experience the benefits of peace, rather than political interests.

Recently, OPAPRU and DFA held a briefing to discuss security, upcoming elections, and coordination efforts for the BARMM.
